FAQ

What are the best crossbow enchantments?
Quick Charge III, Multishot I (or Piercing IV), Unbreaking III and Mending. Quick Charge is the one you feel the most.
Multishot or Piercing on a crossbow?
Multishot for crowd control (three arrows per shot); Piercing for lined-up targets (arrows pass through up to 5 mobs). They are mutually exclusive.
Can a crossbow have Infinity or Power?
No - Infinity and Power are bow-only enchantments. The crossbow has its own pool: Quick Charge, Multishot, Piercing, Unbreaking and Mending.
Does Piercing IV hit 5 enemies?
Yes - Piercing adds 1 target per level (Piercing I = 2, up to Piercing IV = 5 enemies pierced per arrow).
